The Extra Glenns

I had the pleasure of seeing the Extra Glenns exactly once. Franklin Bruno, The Mountain Goats, and The Extra Glenns played a CMJ show at Knitting Factory in 2000. I did not have tickets or a badge so I snuck in.

I had spent most of the day wooing someone over free drinks at Luna Lounge and returned there after the show to redouble my efforts. I was not successful that evening but eventually my persistence bore fruit.

But that is another story.

The Extra Glenns were fantastic that evening. I don't think they really play anymore, which makes me all the more glad that I was able to sneak in that evening. The person watching the door was not being particularly vigilant.
