Jolie

This is another recent acquisition from Academy. I have been checking out releases on the internet before purchasing them, just to make sure I'm not biting off more I can chew. That is to say that I don't want to randomly buy a single by a band that released 5 of them, as then I will feel obliged to track down and post the other 4. This has been causing undue stress at Pukekos HQ, something I am trying to keep to a minimum.

Thus, I try to purchase records that the internet has never heard of.

The internet has heard of Tommy Ramone however -- who in addition to helping found The Ramones, produced this record. I have a feeling that he will probably be remembered for one more than the other.

I have to say that I picked another winner -- this record is fantastic. I would say that it sounds a little like Glass Candy but I didn't really believe it then and I certainly don't now. I think it might have been the sound of her voice that led me to believe that, however.
