Candle, like many bands that you and/or I have been known to enjoy featured members of Clikatat Ikatowi, Spanakorzo, Second Story Window, and probably more that I am forgetting. That is to say that they are more of a second tier band, as they never released an LP and these records have been out of print for quite some time now.

I owned them back in the day as I tended to purchase any record I saw from this particular scene. I think I might have listened to the split with Antioch Arrow exactly once sometime in the mid 90's, meaning I had no recollection of what they sounded like.

Surprisingly, they sound much like a San Diego hardcore band from this period. Who would have thought?

Ladies and gentlemen, for your listening pleasure, 3 sides of Candle.

Candle/Antioch Arrow (Gravity/Wrenched)
1. Now Lost To Then
2. A Gain

Green Grass b/w Silver (Wrenched)
1. Green Grass
2. Silver
