Motico

My friend Chris Glazier plays guitar and sings in this band. But I believe at this point he might be better known (along with his girlfriend Jeannie Purvis) for his relentless attempts to trap, neuter, and release (TNR) every stray cat in Brooklyn. A few years ago they purchased a beautiful brownstone in Bushwick and it has now been almost entirely overrun by cats. They used to rent out the top two floors to friends but when they left they essentially replaced them with more kitties. Lucky for them the place is huge.

I like going over there and lying down on the ground so the cats can swarm over me. I will say here and now that I completely sympathize with them and if I could I might try to collect all the kitties too (although they actually try quite hard to adopt out the cats, they aren't actually trying to collect them all).

Chris documents their various trials and tribulations on his blog Jimmy Legs. If you live in the tri-state area and are looking for a cat to love, I highly recommend getting in touch with them because I am sure they will have something to your liking.

I'm not sure what any of this has to do with him playing guitar in a band, but there you go.

Ladies and gentlemen, for your listening pleasure, a single by Motico.
