Thee Oh Sees

I've seen Pink & Brown, Coachwhips, and now Thee Oh Sees and I have to say I've enjoyed each of John Dwyer's bands more than the last. I saw them for the third time recently during a 2am set at Glasslands, and they killed it.

These three records were not in print for long, I was lucky enough to score my copy of Peanut Butter Oven at the Awesome Vistas show at Market Hotel (one of my favorite spots to see bands in Brooklyn). Chris Johanson was selling the records himself at the show and told me that he had an extra copy of Sic Alps' Description Of The Harbor that he would sell me if I came and met him at his studio in Williamsburg. He indeed made me an offer that I could not refuse.

Thanks again for that Chris, it was really nice of you to do that for me. He invited me to go see Silk Flowers with him after that when we discovered we were both friends with Avi. I had to decline as I had other plans that evening, but I always appreciate being invited places.

Ladies and gentlemen, for your listening pleasure, Thee Oh Sees.

Ah you were at the surprise show? Sounded amazing, but then any Oh Sees appearance is an event.
