Waxwing

The Angel Assassins played with Waxwing in Seattle on our tour of the Northwest with Fire Engine Grey. I remember that show being one of the better ones from tour.

I can't remember if Rocky gave me this tape that night or when he stayed at my house a few months later. I'm not sure it matters all that much, either.

The other side has a phone number on it that is probably defunct (or calls the Votolato family home -- I'm not really curious enough to try), but no song titles. I'm sure the songs do indeed have names, but I not owning any other Waxwing releases makes it difficult to figure them out. If you happen to know the names of these songs, please let me know so I can update the information here.

Ladies and gentlemen, for your listening pleasure, a cassette by Waxwing.

ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
okay the first 3 tracks and the fifth are actually lying on loot songs they got carried over to waxwing when cody joined. this is the first waxwing recording! my god this is beautiful. 1)the gift of light 2)idk 3)idk THEN AT FOUR IS "IMITATION," five is "IDOLS TO ESCAPE" six is "STARFISH" seven is the eariest(pre 7") recording of intervention. notice the difference in production from the previous three.
imitations, idols to escape, and starfish were what ended up being the first "official" waxwing demo cassette release.
thanks for posting this though i lost my tape.
the first three songs are only a peak at lying on loot. the had a violin player (seth warren, ended up in red stars theory)
